Digabyte Music and Design has created original music
for several projects created by Los Angeles based production
company Blue Yonder Films.
Digabyte Music and Design composed the soundtrack
for the feature length computer animated Children's movie,
Wobots. The music needed to reflect a futuristic
sound while remaining playful and lighthearted for a 2-12
year old audience.
Chillicothe is a feature length independent
film that showed at film festivals across the United States,
including Sundance Film Festival in 1999. The film required
a pop music type feel for a Gen-X audience. Digabyte created a share of the film's score and contributed several song titles to the
movie's soundtrack.
- "Glass Stud"
- "Coffee Shop Groove"
- "New Day"
- "Don't Stop"
The Doomstar Demos were created as demos for score material for a sci-fi comedy. Blue Yonder needed a sound that was reminiscent
of sci-fi favorites such as Buckaroo Bonzai
and Battlestar Galactica.
The relationship between Digabyte and Blue Yonder Films began with some of Blue Yonder's earliest film projects. Samaritan
was a feature lenght film that Todd Edwards put together as a college project in 1994. Digabyte's Daniel
Beahm created the entire sound track for the film in Todd's parents'
guest room on a Yamaha MT3X cassette 4-track. These are
Digabyte Music and Design's humble beginnings.
